Description
Doulton Slaters Vase in dark blue and gilt with re and white stylised flowers on a gilt dating from around 1905.
Manufactured in salt glaze art stoneware from the early 20th Century with the Chine Ware design from the Doulton Slater Period.
“The distinctive feature of Chine Ware these wares is a textured netted background surface obtained by pressing moistened pieces of old point lace linen and other fabrics into the soft clay soon after the pots had come to the wheel.”
‘Royal Doulton England’ and partial ‘Doulton Slaters Patent’ impressed backstamps on base
Also it has the initials RT impressed has a chip to the rim which does not show if turned to the back 9 ich tall 5 inch wide
