Rare wall mask from Ashtead PottersLtd a short lived manufacturer set up in 1923 to give employment to disabled ex servicemen from world war1 it closed in 1935 due to the great depression
employing 40 men at its peak .The pottery used outside designers such as Percy Metcalf and Pheobe stabler of carters pottery.
The pottery exhibited at the 1924/1925 British Empire Exhibition 70 cm tall 75 cm wide
