Rare Wade Pink Sitting Pig Money Box Piggy Bank with Stopper The piggy bank is portraying a pink pig, sitting and laughing. At the neck, you’ll find a slot in which you can insert money to save. At the bottom of the piggy bank, there’s a hole with an plastic cap to hold the money in. At the bottom you’ll also find the makers relief stamp: Wade England.
Wade Ceramics Ltd was a manufacturer of porcelain and earthenware, headquartered in Stoke-on-Trent, England. Wade Ceramics was established in 1867 and closed down in the early 1990s. In the 1950s, the Wade potteries created ‘Whimsies’, small solid porcelain animal figures first developed by Sir George Wade, which became very popular and collectable in Britain and America.
