..Hand Carved Cobra Walking Stick Cobra Snake Hand Carved Wood Walking Stick Rosewood Venomous Monocled Snake 38. 1/2 inch long Striking Magnificent old Hand Carved Walking Stick with an amazing large cobra snake with the head for the handle with the body wrapped around the shaft – this is a beautiful piece of wood, heavy, dense with a lovely shape and feel that has to be seen to really appreciate. The snake wraps around the stick and is painted black with wonderful scales carved into it – the neck has the additional larger scales in brown and black as it widens and flattens towards the head – the back of the head is flat with a large single brown spot so probably a monocled cobra known mostly in Asia and also introduced into Australia so probably of Australasian origins – believed to be a rosewood – the shaft is tapered – in places there are scuffs to the paint work and wood – this has some age to it and is a quality piece -brass ferrule on the bottom – a special piece – if you are a snake fan or want an unusual piece of weight and quality, perhaps as a special gift Still has 4 fangs and a tongue
