Genuine period trench art letter opener which has been made from brass from an artillery round by a soldier who served in Jeumont France during the First World War made from brass and still with copper rivets engraved with the name Jeumont and 1919 a flower design is on the handle During World War I, Jeumont, a village in northern France, experienced significant damage, particularly to its castle and railway station. The town also served as a location for prisoner of war camps. Jeumont Communal Cemetery commemorates over 10,000 casualties from the 1914-18 war.
