A rare beautiful cobalt blue lustre Bowl decorated with Peony pattern gilded highlights and cobwebs. The bowl has two beautiful butterfly’s painted in side the bowl the first is in full flight the second one has its wings folded. The colors in this bowl are spectacular very vibrant. A wonderful display piece made by Malings marked on base Malings Newcastle on Tyne England Made in England a[l printed the hand written in gold is number 5030 t which i think is a pattern number. This bowl is stunning to look at. The outside of the bowl has four stunning flowers on the cobalt blue background. This bowl date from the 1930s hand painted at the height of the art deco period measures 8 1/4 inch wide by 4 inch deep. I have searched the webb and can only find one other piece with this pattern and that was a plate so this is a rare piece
